Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) 85% (poudre)
L'isothionate de cocoyl de sodium (SCI) est un tensioactif anionique doux, dérivé de la noix de coco et présenté sous forme de poudre à 85 % de matière active. Il est largement utilisé dans les formulations de soins personnels solides et liquides pour sa capacité à produire une mousse riche et onctueuse tout en nettoyant délicatement la peau et les cheveux.
Contrairement aux tensioactifs plus agressifs, le SCI élimine efficacement la saleté, le sébum et les impuretés sans altérer le film hydrolipidique naturel de la peau, ce qui le rend idéal pour les peaux sensibles et un usage quotidien. Sa mousse douce et onctueuse sublime les produits et laisse la peau lisse, propre et fraîche. Couramment utilisé dans les shampoings solides, les shampoings liquides, les nettoyants visage, les gels douche, les savons solides et les produits pour bébés, le SCI convient également aux bombes de bain, aux bains moussants et aux savons en poudre.
Sa polyvalence, sa douceur et son absence de sulfates en font un ingrédient de choix pour les formulateurs de produits nettoyants doux et performants. Sa forme en poudre offre une excellente flexibilité de mise en œuvre et s'incorpore facilement à de nombreuses formulations.

The packaging was terrible. The inner bag had opened across the bottom edge so the powder had started to dump into the bottom of the outer bag. Once I snipped the top corner of the inner bag (thinking the powder was encased in that bag) and tipped it towards the bowl to measure it out, out poured the powder from the bottom of the outer bag. Surfactant dust everywhere! I lost about 20% of the new bag and spent the next 30 minutes cleaning powder off every surface in my workspace. They should have warned me that they double bagged the product because the inner bag had been broken. Most companies double bag their powdered products regardless so I didn’t suspect a problem. I was not impressed. I emailed the company and while the customer service person apologized, I really got no compensation for this loss of product and ensuing mess which was was not my fault. Disappointing.
