Description: Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) is a versatile surfactant prized for its exceptional foaming and cleaning properties. With a high purity level of 95%, it ensures reliable and effective performance in various formulations. It is widely used in personal care products, including shampoos and body washes, for its superior foaming characteristics. Additionally, it finds application in household and industrial cleaning products, providing excellent degreasing and cleaning performance.
Unlike Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), which is derived from lauryl alcohol only, SCS is a broader, less processed mix of fatty alcohol sulfates, making it a milder alternative while still offering high performance. Its solid noodle/needle format makes it particularly well-suited for waterless or low-water formulations like solid bars and powder cleansers.

I use this to make shampoo bars. You may want to grind them down a little before melting for quicker melt time. Price is very good.
